The InfiniBand spec is due out early 2000, perhaps around Jan 17-18th.

futureio.org
"On January 18th Server I/O 2000 will host an InfiniBand specification tutorial geared to educate the industry on this new and exciting, switched-fabric, I/O technology. Topics covered will be similar to what was presented at the IBTA's inaugural event back in October with recent updates".

Regards
JC.

PS. It would be nice to see a WIND press release saying something like "WIND's IxWorks OS chosen for next generation server i/o architecture".

Peter, Yes, it has been a frustrating year. In fact, it has been frustrating for a few years, but it looks like this last few months' momentum will be carried over to 2000. I2O is materializing, set-top boxes will fly, and DSL/Cable modem will surely geneate more revenue. And what if we do sign a deal with someone like Qualcomm or Intel, or more small deals like th one witLucent and Trillium. I think 2000 will be the prosperous yeath we have waited. (Sorry for the typing errors, I am using a wireless keyboard that doesn't really work. Khan
