brk, I think you might be misunderstanding me a little. however we all have to remember that life is all about CHANGE. Anytime change happens, the transition period is difficult, but the end result is often quite positive. I have no doubt that SI will work out the problems with speed, etc and eventually run smooth again. I realize this. I welcome change. with out change, life becomes boring, and eventually dies(however, you are implying that all change is good. I disagree. not all change is good. life is full of wrong changes.) Also, I wasn't complaining(or as some consider whining) about the speed, I don't care for the format, which they want to shift to. heck, the new Classic shouldn't even be there, might just as well 86 that too. The most important aspect of the site is not changing a single bit.... THE CONTENT. We, as the members, control the content Granted, however, with poor(deteriorating) navigation, bunched up message lists, having to wait for the full page of Bookmarks to load, and a hoast of other things, these will all affect the content, IMHO. I see a lot of threats to leave SI over the transition in platforms, but as long as people are bitching, it means they haven't left the community. That's because we are still using the original format. Once they shut it down completely, we will be faced with a serious decision. I'd like to think I could get used to it, but truly I can not(I played around with it already- comparison charts suck for one thing also) When I read all the hostile posts regarding the transition, I picture Russell H. with his shirt pulled up over his head like Beavis playing Cornholio.... "Are You Threatening Me?!" LOL, that was a nice touch :) But I'm not trying to threaten anyone nor am I trying to get into arguments If you see it that way, I apologize.
