engineer: Many thanks. Found your last point to be very telling. Had not thought of the idea that the Japanese were making sure that the Q understood that parts shortages were theirs to turn on, squeeze, or off - all looking to a long term way to get a Q alliance. Has the ring of truth to it. Never provable of course, but then little is these days.

And agree of course China is the BIG plum. Zero for CDMA and the Q in China looks less and less likely, but will be a true believer when the money begins to flow out from China to San Diego - and since China will want to keep as much at home as possible, that may be awhile, no?
