Dear Ike: just to let you know, from a 3 1/2 year lurker, and rare contributor, that I punch up "IDEA" first thing every day to catch your sage analysis of trends and world events that might impact the market, and your always excellent levels. It's been a long trip from my overwrought fears of the LTCM debacle last year, which had me overly pessimistic, and cost me dearly, to this past year, during which I have more than doubled my entire portfolio, following your precepts of high tech core holdings, and taking what the market gives you. The strategies you have pounded into our heads,e.g. buying cheap puts with a small percentage of profits, have paid off in spades this year for me. This year's success allows me to continue to add and expand educational funds for all my many nieces and nephews, and to help out those less fortunate, another of your precepts I have taken to heart. My best wishes to you and your family during the holiday season. James
