Ed, as a Microsoft stockholder, I appreciate your sharing opinions about Maffei and Conners here. Sounds like Maffei will be a great asset to his new company. Re: One of the things I truly liked about Maffei was his ability to find the right future investment, turn it into a win for Microsoft, and most importantly, close the deal. I personally didn't think of this activity as being part of the direct responsibilities of a CFO, thinking it would fit more into Mergers and Acquisitions. Shows you what I know. Investments in other companies are certainly getting more important all the time. Microsoft, Cisco and Intel always come to my mind first as the best at it. Tony
