Could someone please kick OEI in the behind... man, what a drag watching this stock... seems to be a bunch for sale at $7 3/8... In reading through the 10Q, it sounds as though they are on the right track... If they made .16 per share last quarter on substantially lower oil & NG prices, this quarter should be excellent... the earnings estimates have come UP from 90 days ago, they paid off a chunk of debt and are funding exploration from Cash from operations at $500M next year... what am I missing? Anyone smarter about this company than I am?

Dan

Interesting point on CNBC -- the govt is telling people there is plenty of gasoline and not to worry about Y2K, UNLESS everyone rushes out on New Year's eve to top off.

It occurred to me that I was planning to top off (now I'll go Dec. 30, though <g>), and people interviewed by CNBC plan to do the same. We ought to see an amazing gasoline draw that week, followed by a pretty weak draw (or addition) the following week as motorists burn the fuel in their tanks.
