Satyam (Sify's parent) language R&D centre at IIIT iiit.net The Schools iiit.net Our Bureau HYDERABAD, Dec. 24 SATYAM Computer Services Ltd on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) near here, to establish a language technology research centre (LTRC) for the development of multi-lingual communication among Indian languages. The MoU was signed by Dr. Raj Reddy, Chairman of the IIIT Governing Council, and Mr. B. Ramalinga Raju, Chairman, Satyam Computer, in the presence of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu. With the establishment of the research centre, Satyam plans to take up pioneering work in creating a pool of high-calibre research professionals in IT and enabled services within India. This is the first research centre to be established in the IIIT. IBM, Metamor and Oracle have already established their respective schools in the industry-driven IIIT............ hindubusinessline.com
