Mark, Welcome home for the holidays. . . .

Yes, NATS and LPTHA are fine for buying dips and selling peaks as we await news. . . they have been played up and down a bit. . . but are still establishing support bases . . .and that is the important thing after running so far.

Important to be in many of the bigger caps. . .and not be too heavy in these small ones. . .as they sell off easier than say Lucent or Intel.

No opinion on OMKT. ASDS looks good for next week.

As for cards. . . it is not uncommon to get a card from me in January one year and get one that I drew and designed myself the next. This year, cards will be emailed.

I did a bit of Christmas shopping last weekend and some over the phone [none via the net this year]. . .but the vast majority of my shopping has been done by various family members.

Not sure if you remember. . .my wife has 4 teenaged kids raised in California. . . so Christmas and New Years are both very important to them. . . when you are a teenager, you believe that the world revolves around you. . . like the Truman Show. . . . .so we do something a little different together each year. . .opening up horizons, etc.

Still not sure where we will spend New Years. . . most places have had so many cancellations that you can go just about anywhere you want. . . I am just not crazy about being in large groups of people. . . and having to look over my shoulder for suspicious rented trucks that smell like manure and diesel fuel.

Anyway. . . thanks for the blessings . . and Merry Christmas to you, Mark.

One more thing. . . 4 million DVD players purchased this year [just reported by CNBC] . . . it has blown away expectations as stores sell out of the units. . . remember when I predicted this about 3 months ago? 1500 movie titles available. Multi-billion dollar a year industry. . . and I predict that 4 million more units will be sold over the next 60 days. . . .with a total of 30 million units to be sold in America in 2000. . . as prices of bare bones units near $100 each.

And guess what. . . my wife just called from Best Buy, saying the parking lot was not large enough. . .the store is "jam packed with people". . . and "which movies would you prefer?"

Looks like Santa will be good to me this year, too. . . <g>
