Gilder Technology Report for Dec. 1999: Big on Globalstar (GSTRF) Wireless sector is featured with favorable mentions for Qualcomm and Novell. The most positive comments were on GSTRF: " We are not market timers. But as a historian I note that Globalstar is an ascendant technology, and that the stock has yet to ascend. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to recognize that such a discrepancy between potential and kinetic energies -- such as an underestimation of CDMA and bandwidth demand -- historically fueled the voltage for the explosive ascent of Qualcomm. 'Nuff said." All three stocks are on Gilder's list of Telecosm stocks. His track record is exceptional; GSTRF is not a short-term play (neither was Qualcomm) but might be a good stock to accumulate and hold through 2000.
