VVUS - was anyone brave enough to short this as it traded above 5 at the end of the day on Wednesday? Based on:
individual.com
Looking back I see the thread was really busy that day as the stock ran up 175%. All the old regulars were there, including Tunica Albuginea with stuff like:

Susan, a vision of things to come. Alprostadil and Prazosin
will be THE MOST EFFECTIVE anti-impotence drug on the market
for ORGANIC ED. It will smoke out Viagra

Predictions of world dominance, rivers of revenue, etc., abound. Pretty quiet yesterday as the price dropped back 40%. Apparently the new combination drug uses the same delivery method and will probably be as well accepted by patients as MUSE. Longs claim everything is different this time. I expect a rerun, but doubt it will get to 40 again.

If anyone is wondering why I'm posting here, it's because Bill posted his message here and on the GUMM thread. There's only one reason that Bill would post the same message on multiple boards: To hype his position. It's truly amazing that some you who are tired of hearing about GUMM come to Bill's defense when he goes out of his way to discuss GUMM here. Bill: Your troops are tired of hearing about GUMM. Give it a rest, man!

To those of you who condone Bill's libelous comments of fraud and criminal fraud and chalk it up to a sick game of yanking someone's chain, you are part of the problem. If people stood up and said "Bill, that's enough", I think he would post more responsibly. I have read some very good posts from Bill so I know that he has it in him to stick to responsible posting. As long as the troops condone the libel, it will probably continue. Anyone who condones libel is just as irresponsible and unethical as the person making the libelous remarks.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Dan

Whoa! I take issue with the blanket rejection of homeopathy as a valid medical modality. Like Acupuncture, there is a long tradition here and factors that make qualification and quantification difficult. Nevertheless, that is not the issue here. What is, is that many companies jump on the homeopathic bandwagon(because of the lack of regulation on the products)and label their products as such.
Another Co, QGLY, also labeled their product as homeopathic. Although I luckily made money on the long side(I was inexperienced as an investor/trader then!)it was and still may be a great short. GUMM, I will certainly look into. I remember, back some years ago, Bill Wexler relentlessly trashing Cyberguard. And still don't know how you got the scoop on that one while it was in the high teens.
