"chicken-littles aren't going to cash fearing a Y2k"

Just walked the dog and came to that conclusion myself (in the absence of any other obvious or logical explanation) for the lack of AOL participation in this week's run.

Jan. 3,2000 will tell the tale. We'll see. ATHM falling off this week as well. Haven't checked any other service.

cb,
It will be a no show event IMHO. Whenever so much FUD is fed by brainless press you have to interpret those news as CNBS type of n(o)ews. There will a few minor glicthes but the press has sheep following to make a mount out of a mole.
I think main fear cycle will start in the middle of Jan
with the speculation that AG will raise 50 basis points in Feb and will continue to do so two more times.
This seasons e-commerce news is going to be very big and
AOL will announce Walmart web site launch after next week.
More alliance and promo news will start pouring from next week till Jan 19th (?) earnings.
Sit tight and enjoy your holidays.

'm wondering if a few chicken-littles aren't going to cash fearing a Y2k meltdown!? cb
