<<According to Cena .07 cent per share for the handset sale and interest income?? doesn't 165m shares x .07 = 11.5m. That sounds like interest inc only.. If Q were to recieve, hypothetically, $500m; divide 500m /165m shares =$3.03 per share????? someone please correct my thinking!!>>

phatb,

I think you are confusing the proceeds, which approximate the book value of the assets to be transferred and thus do not result in a gain, with interest income on the proceeds.

I calculate potential interest income from division sale as follows:

Minimum cash received = $300,000,000
Minimum annual interest from ten year USTs = 6% (actually a bit more as of today, but let's use 6% as an avg.)
165 million shares pre-split

$300,000,000 x .06 = $18,000,000
$18,000,000 / 165 million = .11 / share.

So I get 11 cents from interest.

Even if get only 5% interest, that is still $.09 per share.

Anyone, please check my arithmetic.
