Hey thread.. I'm surfing on the latest release of MR12 (netscape 5.0) It is interesting with a better layout and some nice new features.. (i've only used it for about an hour so just have the basics)...This version is not ready for most users as some items are functioning... I just though it would be fun to look at...

One thing I've noted, now that I have a faster internet connection(DSL), is that I'm not worried much about maintaining a library of software, either on my computer or on ZIP disks... I used to do this to ease the pain should I have a system crash... But, with a higher speed connection I don't really care at all about saving or having lots of software installed on my computer... I've removed a lot of software which I was holding cuz I thought I might need it sometime.. Now with a high speed connection one can just go get the program again and load it up... So one would always have the latest and greatest version. (I knew this would eventually happen... which is why I sold my Iomega way back in 1996... AT THE TOP...<grrrrrrin>)

The main point here is this is the first step in the network-centric computing paradigm... Latest and greatest software on the server rather than at the client... Good for Sun and EMC (bought a few weeks ago..)

Cheers,

Roger

Dear twister:

Merry Xmas to you.

I also see that you indeed are as good as always in twisting one's statements and taking them out of context! But that is ok, after all your SI username does call for you to do that.

Anyway I was about to post a lengthly response to you regarding taking my statements and quoting me out of context but then I said what is the use!

In any event, best wishes for the new year and may all your investments be prosperous.

Regards,

- Addi
