Who wants to get its vehicle at any price faster, can try, to even tinker - or give it to the hands of professional Tuning specialists. Overclocking
The inserted Athlon processor was specified of AMD as 600-MHz-Typ (with max. 70 °C case temperature) and from KryoTech to 800 mc/s (for -40 °C) changed over and the voltage somewhat increases. KryoTech occupies the validity of the procedure with diagrams, which show the temperature dependence of the different semiconductor technologies. We let against each other begin however both processors still with Kompilaten from Vtune 4,0. Mit der GeForce-Grafikkarte gab es allerdings hin und wieder Probleme; um die Vergleichbarkeit zu erhalten, haben wir aber eh alle Messungen mit TNT2 ausgeführt.

Fazit
Ohne Frage, die Technik mit der Tiefkühlung funktioniert und ist praktikabel. Sie bringt gut zwei Geschwindigkeitsgrade Vorsprung. Bei der derzeitigen Innovationsgeschwindigkeit sind das aber nur wenige Monate. Da muss man schon mit spitzem Bleistift nachrechnen, ob einem diese paar Monate ein paar Tausend Mark wert sind. Einfach aufrüsten, etwa auf 1 GHz, kann man auch nicht, denn dafür benötigt man stärkere Kompressoren (diejenigen des Super G haben doppelte Leistung). Und hoher Energieverbrauch, Lärm und spätere Entsorgungsprobleme sind auch nicht zu vernachlässigen. Aber für manche Profis, für die jede Sekunde Rechenzeit bares Geld bedeutet, und Yuppies, die immer die Nase vorn haben wollen, kann sich die Anschaffung dennoch lohnen. (as)
