"Interesting that Amazon felt it was ok to give this info to morgan stanley, but not to the public." Only if it is true. According to briefing.com the rumor was false: "14:28 ET Amazon.com (AMZN) 90 3/4 -6 15/16: Stock taking a hit from false rumors that Morgan Stanley Dean Witter is making negative comments regarding margin pressures. We just spoke with MSDW and they tell us that they did meet with Amazon management, but they made no such comments."
