Thanks for the good words, kas1. This is a very important thread to me because its the only one that I know something about <g>. Let's talk portfolios. I like your picks, but argue loudly that picking NOK over QCOM will prove to be the wrong pick for fundamental reasons. QCOM is an IPR company. They own the CDMA/HDR protocols. NOK is a manufacturer. QCOM's valuation is deserved and, in fact, once you understand their true worth and the lessons that MSFT, CSCO, and INTC taught us about the value of the IPR and market dominance with value chains in a violently expanding market, you will see that QCOM's current stock price is a bargain. NOK will do fine, but QCOM will eclipse them quickly. I am a Gorilla and King investor. I bought NTAP because I liked their technology and their market. I kept them because as I learned about G/K investing I realized that NTAP is either the Gorilla or the King of NAS. (I still can't figure out which.) I have, over the last 9 months of my G/K investing, whittled my portfolio down to 6 stocks, plus one to watch: QCOM 47% (Gorilla of wireless) JDSU 15% (King of Photonic com) CSCO 10% (Gorilla of data com) GMST 9% (Gorilla of TV Interactive Programming Guides) PMCS 9% (King of ATM) NTAP 9% (King of NAS) CREE <1% (Gorilla of SiC) G/K investing has simplified my decision making, reduced my risk, and maximized my returns. (Highly recommend "The Gorilla Game" by Geoffrey Moore if you are interested, and, of course, the Gorillas and Kings thread for the most civil, productive conversations anywhere.) The other benefit of G/K investing is the building of cyber relationships with others of the same persuasion.
