Eric: OT. I agree totally with you on a responsible approach to rumors and the complete freedom to discuss and thoroughly challenge them on the threads, which should be self-governing. At this point the VARL "takeover" rumor has no more basis in fact than it did when it first surfaced--it remains a completely unsubstantiated rumor. Its only substance is that it exists and that's only because it's discussed. Rumors are like cockroaches--they should be squashed at first sight. And for me, this rumor is hereby rendered a spot on the dark kitchen floor---SQUISH!

*When "rumors" are reported in print or TV they become by law, material fact.*

Where is this "law"?

*vigorously challenge them as to the source, but do not censor them on this or any other thread.*

I did. The fella backed away from his assertions. SSB also backed away from spreading rumors.

*but do not censor them on this or any other thread.*

This thread is pretty good. Why mar it with hyperbole? Would you not rather have facts to work with rather than the crud that fouls up the Yahoo boards?

I always find it interesting the folks that show up on boards once the stock has run 300%. Good Grief.
