It is interesting that Republicans, who according to my long-term understanding of their platform prefer less intrusion of the government into private life, are advocating privatization of Social Security. Do they have any idea of the effect on the economy of Social Security collected funds being spent in the markets? I think this might be a huge mess of government interference!
