HAYWARD, CA, Dec. 27 /CNW-IRW/ - Certicom, a leading provider of next-generation encryption technology, and DigitalOwl.com, today announced a licensing agreement whereby DigitalOwl.com will utilize Certicom's Security Builder(TM) encryption technology to secure its OwlPackager(TM) content protection software. Certicom's elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) provides DigitalOwl.com customers strong assurance that their valuable copyright material is protected during digital distribution of the content.
DigitalOwl.com develops software products that put all forms of published content at the fingertips of the electronic consumer. Using digital packaging and copyright protection mechanisms, OwlPackager allows publishers to easily distribute their content online. Certicom's trusted encryption technology provides DigitalOwl.com's OwlPackager software with the underlying security needed to ensure that publishers' copyrighted material is preserved.
