It appears that the investment community is hedging their bet. Picking sides sort of speak but right down the middle. ISP, Aol vs free internet access. Drop some AOL shares and pick up the, for now "high flying" no charge internet suppliers..JMO

Best to all for great holiday...

John, all large capital nut stocks rises
and falls together with the nut sectors,
AOL rose to $173 in 4/99 and down to
$76 in July/August 1999 with eBay, AMZN
CMGI in the $60 - $80, YHOO was in $100,
so the pitfall is the same for all
large nut stocks.

Now, we must see the 1 year return at the
year end to compare, you tell me
with all the worries of AOL, what is
the ROI? a merely 100% - 120%, and
this may not be the fact in year 2000
because AOL has more than 2 billion shares
without T's pipe and with the free ISP
the growth will be slower, you may still
get ROI of 100% but is that the only choice
there? I am not spamming CMGI on this board, I just
felt a bit sad that AOL is not as promising as I thought
it would be and I can't depend on AOL for my
early retirement... And I am fully qualify to retire now
with CMGI.
