The weather has been unusual here... more like late October-early November weather, but fairly cold for the past week. Supposed to stay this way for at least a few more days. I'm not complaining. Beats shovelling snow. The only drawback will be if we get the usual severely cold January weather without a blanket of snow to protect plants and insulate the ground. Had that kind of weather about 5 years ago and everyone had trouble with the water pipes because their frost went so deep into the ground...
