The Mormons that came by here a few months ago were quite pleasant. It was a hot summer day, so I invited them in and gave them each a glass of juice. I think they were happy to be able to sit for awhile. They were each named Elder Somethingorother, but neither one was out of his teens. One had pimples and I don't think he shaved regularly yet.

I didn't exactly grill them, but I really wanted to know more about how there were elephants in Mexico, ridden by warriors who wore breastplates and wielded scimitars. It's a wonderful yarn.

I'll take a Mormon over a JW any day. When it becomes apparent to them that you're not interested in converting, they talk about something else for awhile, then they leave and stay gone.

PS - I agree with Christine on your post about Cranmer. You can sure turn a phrase! I was going to respond when you first wrote it, but the speed of the thread combined with 3-D intrusions caused it to get lost in the shuffle.
