To be sure, the Mindless Polyannas have won thus far. What I find amazing in talking to them, however, is that they say they never intend to sell. So in the end they are going to lose everything and go bankrupt. What I would like to know is when that day will come.

The Nasdaq 100 looks like the Hang Sang Index at the end of 1993. I'm expecting this to burst sometime in January/February 2000. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't make a major bet on it happening: just a small one.

In a way, I haven't been able to enjoy my profits. ( In another way, I have enjoyed it). To have gone long the bubble stocks in this market has required either absolute ignorance or a Selling of one's soul to this bubble, mania and frenzy. To know that this is so out of hand and beyond any rational fundamental justification and to still go long these fruitcake stocks, is really insane and can only be justified from the standpoint of greed.

To be sure, consciousness is everything and most people on this thread are very conscious of what is going on here. But practically speaking, many of us have sold out and thereby are no different than the Polyannas. That is the problem. Ignorance can sure be bliss sometimes.
