{{{Bill}}} I lied. <g> I think I'll use the last "finger whisper" I have to make a reply to this one. I've had it on my mind since I read it in the wee hours of Saturday morning. People give gifts for lots of reasons. People do give gifts with no ulterior motives, no strings attached. People give gifts just to hear the joy in someone's voice who has been surprised and blessed by being remembered in some small way. Joy is received by giving joy. All that is hoped for in return is that simple, honest reaction. A smile. Feeling upset because you have nothing to return to that person defeats the purpose of the gift giver. One important point though, Bill...you NEVER know what you might already have given a person to cause them to want to give you a small token of their friendship. It may just be that that person is actually showing their appreciation for you just being you. Your hugs, your love and your thanks are all that is hoped for. I know that is how I feel when I give gifts. If anyone expects more, than the gift wasn't given in the true spirit of giving. I hope your Christmas was blessed. Mine was so good, and so perfect (in spite of not getting my African frog ecosystem <g>) that I can't think of one thing I would change. The laryingitis was even a cause of fun for us! Loosen your belt, relax on the couch, turn on the tv, SMILE and rest today! I know that's what I'm gonna do! Type at ya later! E!
