I don't have a firm date in mind. If the tech market goes soft in early or mid-January and doesn't bounce back quickly, I think the Internuts could be in for a 20-30 % haircut.

But I may just buy the USPIX fund that is like a double short in the Nasdaq 100 and hold for a while as a hedge. Puts can expire worthless if your timing is off and shorts can create a huge loss if you are wrong. USPIX will have a fixed downside from its current price of 3.38.

I will post what I decide to do after New Year's.
