IVL INDIA (P) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of the Informations Verarbeitung Leverkussen of Germany, will provide enterprise information portals for companies, using the SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) model, IVL India managing director Mr Sunil Gupta said here. The custom-made portals will provide personalised desktop facilities to employees allowing them to search, retrieve and organise information from a variety of sources for improving the efficiency, productivity, and the delivery mechanisms.

Mr Gupta said IVL's portal strategy used the e-business concept and enabled companies to deploy Internet for strategic advantage with ubiquitous communication and information sharing. It will also allow companies to integrate various other information portals and communication.

IVL has also developed add-on solutions, specifically catering to statutory compliance pertaining to taxation and documentation related to foreign trade management. Mr Gupta said the company would provide customers a continuous enhancement of the software packages in order to cater to offerings of new technology as well as to changes in statutory rules and regulations.

IVL has a presence in geographic information systems (GIS) business, and its current orders from the German government for GIS solutions are expected to contribute to the group's turnover.
