Re: Gilder Report George Gilder spent considerable time on Globalstar in his latest newsletter report. The title of the report is "Wireless Wonderland." Keep in mind that Gilder originally named Globalstar to his "Telecosm Technologies" list back in August, 1996. (He picked Qualcomm a month later, Sept. 1996 long before qualcomm mania took hold). So picking winners is old hat for George. In this latest report he is literally shouting "Globalstar!!!" from the rooftops. And to those in the streets down below the message should be abundantly clear: Now is the time to buy folks. Now, I will only provide a brief passage from his newsletter, and paraphrase his comments so as not to violate any copyright laws. I strongly urge anyone interested in technology, who wants to be on the cutting edge, to pay the $295 a year for Gilder's monthly report. Believe me, I am a new subscriber since June, and this report has literally made me almost $1 million so far. (No joke). So for those curious about Gilder's take on Globalstar, here is what he says, briefly: Globalstar Rising With all 48 birds in orbit by early December, Globalstar's technical advantages are now being tested by thousands of beta users around the globe. According to Globalstar co-inventor Ming Louie, the results are in and all the advantages of the LEO CDMA combination are proven. The stock is still down because of the aftershock of the TDMA failures at Iridium and Teledesic. Around here, this is not exactly a surprise. (what, that the stock is down, or the iridium disaster?). We are not market timers. But as an historian, I note that Globalstar is an ascendant technology, and that the stock has YET TO ASCEND. You do not have to be a rocket scientist to recognize that such a discrepancy between potential and kinetic energies-such an underestimation of CDMA and bandwidth demand-historically supplied the voltage for the explosive ascent of Qualcomm. 'Nuff said." Note that Gilder does NOT say Globalstar will be the next Qualcomm. He merely notes that the same energy buildup which led to the Qualcomm explosion is now brewing inside Globalstar, and that sooner or later something's gotta give. Thus, the "Globalstar Rising" header for the last paragraph of the report. Hope this helps! Charlie R.
