Virtual Financial Billing Agreement

Internet-based financial services solution firm VIFI has signed a nonexclusive agreement with CheckFree Corp. that allows VIFI customers the option of selecting CheckFree as their electronic billing and payment provider through VIFI's BillPayer product. Under the terms of the agreement, Indianapolis-based VIFI will resell the Atlanta-based CheckFree's Web Billing and Payment option to its client financial institutions. VIFI, which claims to serve more than 2.6 million users conducting more than 3.6 million transactions/month, also provides electronic bill payment services through a partnership with M&I Data Services, Brown Deer, Wis. VIFI's suite of products includes InternetBanker, BillPayer, CardServices, BackOffice, WebImage, Marketer and Services. CheckFree enables electronic billing for 3 million consumers through contracts with 77 billers, as well as through partnerships with banks, brokerage firms, Web portals and personal financial management software companies, it says.
