Speaking of hedging...As a big Intel call option player, I'm always wishing I'd hedge when Intel corrects but I usually don't. This Sept when Intel was near it's all time high I did buy some short term puts as insurance, but they didn't help me much. A friend was telling me to write a spread against my jan 50 60 and 70 calls... and sell or write jan110 calls against them. Wished I would have now. Instead I ended up buying 50 of the 110's at 2 1/2 which now looks like money down a rat hole.

Good luck all

Gordon the options junkie

"Buy OTM puts."

Most of my holdings are IPOs which do not have puts to buy...Besides I'm really looking for a generalized approach to hedging a portfolio, not just individual issues.
