That was my point.. You can go into any Supermarket here in the Northeast and buy a New York Strip steak. When they put the price controls on it they changed the name to Kansas City. It was the same for many other items that fell under the law.

I'm sorry if you believe I was injuring Kansan pride by calling it a weird cut..<gg> I suppose I'll get an e-mail from Bob Dole soon giving me a lesson in the importance of the Kansas City Cut's role in preserving the Union during the Civil War or something.LOL!!!!!!

Be that as it may!!! It is not a popular term for a cut of meat in the U.S. as a whole.
