Nihil, I am not preaching at you but just wanted to share my thoughts on a few things related to a belief in Christianity. Most believers have admitted to God and and their brothers and sisters the wrongs that they have done to others and what brought us to the point of knowing Christ as our personal Savior. We are not perfect, rather far from it. The only difference is that we readily admit our faults because we have came to recognize that they are what will keep us from having a closer spiritual experience with God. Sometimes, it appears that we are preaching at each other and at you also. Let me say that if one of us truly is doing this, and have not made a clean inventory with Christ about our own failings, then we are on dangerous ground. Religion can creep into our lives and shut us off from God if we get in that frame of mind. None of us are exempt from problems. At this time of year you would be surprised how many are having a miserable time because of broken or bad relationships, a death, a loss of a job or many other things. At times I wonder if the Christian is not burdened with a heavier load than the non-believer. We are presented with tests that we have to go through, because we cannot bury them deep within our subconscious because of the Spirit of God living within us. None of us are perfect but Jesus Christ has covered our sins by shedding his blood for us. When our Heavenly Father looks upon us, He sees us through Jesus' act on the cross for us and we are justified and made perfect through God's eyes. Although our standing with God is as Saints, our earthly existence is a constant fight just like you or anyone else has to face. Many times I have lost my temper when someone on the thread acts out but I then am sometimes brought to the realization the reason I am upset is that I am seeing a fault in myself in the other person that I have not faced. All of us really care for you and are not out to make you feel like you are not as good. All of us at one time were lost sinners without God's saving grace. We are no different than you. We still sin, even in our speech on this thread some of us sin. I hope that you will give some thought to what I have said. I personally, am hurting this Christmas and have not shone as an example for Christ. God is good, my friend. You just have to want to know Him. James
