I found this reference from a US News and World Report science article over at Ask God this afternoon. It really is quite interesting, because it posits that the whole Jesus thing started with ASTROLOGICAL signs! Oh, and that he was born in April, in 6 BC.

My mom is from Sweden. When my dad was stationed in Germany it seems we spent half the time visiting my grandparents. I have many fond memories of Christmas and other occasions there. I recall that Merry Christmas in Sweden was God Jul! I also recall dancing around a ribbon festooned maypole one spring. It was wonderful!
