"Nasdaq Japan Planning Co. and the OSE, Japan's second largest exchange, will set up an independent association to finalize rules for listing, disclosure and trading on the new market. One of the key goals is to link Nasdaq Japan with the U.S. Nasdaq and Nasdaq Europe so investors can trade globally 24 hours a day. The OSE will set up a communications network linking more than 100 U.S. and Japanese broker-dealers in Japan to the new market. Between 50 and 100 of the largest Nasdaq stocks will be offered for trading on the sister exchange in Japan by the end of next year."
