Yes, as I recall there has always been something of a debate over the name. I tend to agree it was probably KC before it was NY simply because NY was never a beef capital. I do not recall why the name became NY however, perhaps the cachet.

Carolyn...Isn't the Plaza III at the location of old Putsch's 210? My parents always took my brother and I to the Golden Ox when we went to K.C. Brings back fond memories. Haven't been there for a long time.
