This is exactly why we might want to keep government and the markets separate. I am all for GBLX and the fairly radical start-ups you think should be supported, but the whole thing just gets extremely complicated.

For example, would the government invest in tobacco stocks? Even our state pension funds in California don't invest in them. I don't like tobacco, but is it fair to implement government health and social policies by choosing certain investments over others?
