Good morning Christine,

I imagine a "sage brush tramp was the the 1870's equivalent of our "homeless' thrashing through the sage from mining camp to camp instead of pounding the pavement. Just guessing though, I have been neither.

Re: We Scandias were probably a mix of SOP Religions, Pagans, and Aethiests in our beliefs, with various emphasis
on each, as the time and place required.. Like for weddings and funerals were standard, Xmas nonreligious pagan. And we were known to use the Lord's name in vain and would question the heritage of a "hunter?" that would come on our place and begin shooting in the middle of our cattle during Yahoo, not Yule season. Re: the Gold rush ..Seen the Tenderloin around 2:00 am and worked the foothills from Oroville to Mariposa.. Will take the foothills, now and then.. Thanks for the link though. I do have the Chronicle BM'ed but didn't catch that story.

Re APLX, Played it for the Linux pop.. Long gone.. Will not play any old software company for the long term, that releases "Linux news", As I understand it, any "Software
tramp" can write it. Quite easy to do.. Check out recent quote on CORL. BTW, A Finn wrote it and gave it away. Just like us SWINNS.. Prove you can do it and move on.. Like I will now..

Take care...m
