Goutama - RE: "Fellow named Valkin tells me that he found from a rep that HotRail (nee Poseidon, I recall) dual and quad chipsets (for the Athlon) will be released in Q1 next year, possibly as early as January."

Ooh, that would be nice. But are current Athlons SMP capable? I remember reading the current ones aren't. Maybe it depends solely on the chipset.

Goutama,

<I will start of the day after XMAS with a nice rumor - from the great JCs news update -

Fellow named Valkin tells me that he found from a rep that HotRail (nee Poseidon, I recall) dual and quad chipsets (for the Athlon) will be released in Q1 next year, possibly as early as January. Well, this is quite a bit more appealing than the previous rumours, which suggested a delay all the way to the middle of the year. Of course (as we already know), Tyan is expected to be the first company to market dual-capable boards for K7 variants.>

Do you have any more info if this refers to samples or production? If it is samples then we may have quite some way to go.
Also, I do not have a great take on Shriner so I will wait till these things show up in systems.

Chuck

P.S.: Based on the stock price today I see that the rumored Dec 29th date on Gateway now hasn't panned out (not yet anyway)
