I didn't drop by for the contest, just to bounce ideas off the permabears to see what I was missing while the Internuts are going gonzo. It's a healthy way to keep those rose-colored glasses from taking over your brain completely.

The short-term fluctuations in stocks like CMGI don't mean much to the buy and hold crowd. I bought my first CMGI shares at a split-adjusted 18 and played some calls and daytrades along the way. CMGI may get cut in half again sometime in 2000 but I won't be selling my core shares.

Think of the Internet as a wave, not a bubble.
