Just when you think it can't get any worse...

It can...

It's not enough to be saddled with the wolf...so I had to step in it. While I was at the vets office (the wolf had a small animal caught in her teeth...a bison, I think), this person brought in a 3 year old dachshund and wanted it put to sleep. He was tired of it. A well mannered little dog...if somewhat timid. Since I was standing there, I questioned the owner. It was house-broken. No real problems. It understood and obeyed commands. Just a bright, energetic little dog that he was tired of...so I did the only reasonable thing. I bit the owner and took the dog home.
Outside of a blue-heeler (a real, live working dog), I have never had anything smaller than a Samoyed. Now, I can't do anything without a pair of brown eyes following along to take in my every move. He seems to think that I am good to 'perch' on and a good source of heat. I suppose that there is one good thing...if there is ever a major gravity flux, I'll have a dachshund to hold me down....
