Mark,

re the disk price report. Especially the few reductions and more numerous increases. I wasn't watching prices last year so please help me here. I understand that last year there were major hopes for recovery od disk stocks, but drive prices collapsed in late December (of 1998). Is that correct ? Do you have data on that ?

And if that is the case, and if it is true that the late December is the weakest period for drive prices, what does the current data say ? To me it means that we will have one more month of uncertainty, and if prices stay firm we should see 100% to 300% increase in drive stocks by April.

By the way, last Thursday there was a little price pop in MXTR a few minutes before the close. None of the other DD stocks were affected. I hope it carries into Monday with more breadth. But these pops have fizzled every single time in the past two years. But I have the strong feeling it is the real thing this time.
