Win2000 supports I2O.
microsoft.com
"I2O (Intelligent I/O Architecture) is a new technology that reduces the load on a system's CPU and improves I/O performance. I2O works by adding a dedicated processor that is optimized for input and output operations. This technology promises to streamline bandwidth-intensive activities such as real-time audio and video".

Also, Linux 2.4 (rev ?) which is due out in January will also support I2O. It looks like Jan 2000 will be quite a significant month for IxWorks and I2O.

Regards
JC.
