Switzerland makes effort to resolve crisis

The families of three of the four Swiss passengers held hostage aboard the Indian Airlines plane, held by hijackers in Afghanistan, are in contact with the
Swiss Foreign Ministry. The Ministry is also talking to several diplomatic missions in countries around Afghanistan and to a Red Cross delegation close to the Kandahar airport, the Ministry spokesman Ruedi Christen informed.

Btw, this should work wonders for tourism in India, though one might also argue that the appointment of Uma Bharti as Tourism Minister has already taken care of that! <g>

After seeing how India has bungled and messed-up things in the hostage crisis, anybody still wanna bet that its power grid will hold up after the transition to Y2K????
