"Stuff like that" may be affected by gravitational influences and/or electrical fields.

Those are the more scientific explanations... but what about the more mystical ones...

On cold full moon nights the brush wolves sing to us all night as they run across our fields...

When we had a place up on the river, we were drawn to the beach by the splashing of dozens of fish spawning in the shallow water by the light of the full moon...

And there's nothing quite like looking out of your bedroom window in the middle of the night, only to see a trio of deer wandering across the pasture to graze with the horses in the silver light...

Full moons are for magic and dreams...
