QUICKEN.COM (Financial software & website)
Updated Dec 7, 1999

WHAT IS THE YEAR 2000 STATUS?

"Testing yet to be completed."

"Because Quicken.com's features and functions are constantly changing, our testing has been ongoing. We anticipate that final testing will be completed by mid-December 1999."

IF FINAL TESTING WAS COMPLETED BY MID-DECEMBER ... WHY HASN'T THE SITE BEEN UPDATED???

"Quicken.com relies on information and data feeds from a variety of third-party organizations, such as for stock and mutual fund news, prices, and fundamentals. Intuit is working with these organizations to obtain assurances of their Y2K compliance but is not responsible for such compliance."
intuit.com

I wonder how many people on SI track their stocks (or their net worth, with date formatting with that "*" which is REALLY funny) ... and other financial info with Quicken?

I got Quicken Deluxe 3 years ago. No patches available to make Y2K ready. Quicken now advises me ... "we recommend that you upgrade to a newer version". Guess I go shopping for software tomorrow. And then I only have to worry about Quicken's "third-parties". HO HO HO

Happy New Year everyone.

CK and Flats- Now don't go and stir things up.... everyone wants to believe its all fixed ... everyone says its fixed on tv and newspaper. If I never read a single thing about Y2K except how much trouble Microsoft is having I would realize that it is going to be worse rather than better than anticipated ! I believe the false hype on all the so called critical dates including 9-9-99 really lulled people to sleep. The key to this whole thing though is how bad the embedded systems end up IMO.

Flats-

Thanks for posting that list. It re-reminds me that my Works 4.0 is non-compliant. I guess I'll set my clock back.

It would be a master stroke of planned obsolesence, if it were planned.

Reminds me to reset the clock on my old 486 notebook too, just in case I ever want to use it again.

It's interesting that 2000 versions of programs are on the list.
