thanks for your response. obviously, an effort for you.

for your information, most U.S. mutual funds maintain a October year for determining and distributing capital gain -- consequently, if they're playing the tax angle, they can sell in Nov. and the gain is recognized in the following tax year for holders. I doubt, however, that most U.S. funds give a hoot about after-tax performance for holders.
