This girl doesn't do phone. But she will try email, to one of us, if I set it up before I leave. So I'll just leave a blank open email to Coby, if okay with her, and hope MJ can re-connect to the net.

Sounds like a plan to me... Glad you're thinking of us... You know us...we're just a pack of worry warts... ;-}>

I feel good about it, and today, and everything.
They'll do it; and I'll be back.

We *know* you will... better'n ever... able to leap tall buildings and waterfalls in a single bound...

Someone didn't have a nice Christmas.

Hmmmm... :-{

Well, PERSONALLY- I don't think anyone messing around with your body is routine. Well, maybe after years of marriage, SOME things get to be routine. Just a joke. ho ho ho. But any stranger that messes with my body parts had better not perceive me as routine. I don't want routine. I want SPECIAL.

Oh ICK about the Careflight. That's bad.
You know, CW leaves early tomorrow for Vail for a week. I find myself saying stupid things like:
--Don't ski into a tree.
-- oh shucks mom, but I really WANTED to try that this year.

I am making trail mix now, packed in little baggies, labeled MOnday, Tues, etc.
--In case you get lost on the slopes, and need energy to keep you alive til they find you.
--Mom, it's ok- I get on a lift up, I come down again- over and over.
--You might get weak halfway down.

--I put your eardrops in.
--MOM! I'm going skiing, not swimming.
--You might get water in your ear in the hot tub.

No, it sounds as though someone's Christmas was very unhappy. My mother's father died of unexpected heart attack on Christmas Eve when she was 11. She ran in her nightgown to the parish rectory to get a priest. For the rest of her life, despite wonderful Christmases, there was always a momentary pang of remembrance of that night. And she always longed for one more minute to express her love for him.

I'm sharing this story because it underlies one of the reasons you find people hovering over you, knowing full well that this is routine surgery. You are very real and very important to so many cyberfriends who treasure you. All we can do is offer our thoughts and feelings; we can't run an errand for you or visit you with a bunch of grapes or whatever. Of course, we want you to feel our affection and we want to know how you are. We are your friends.

Talk to you when you get home, Gaugie. Or plugged-in. Seeya in the hospital, though. Spirits in the night.

I promise to relay the information as soon as it is received. You're right, it's routine surgery. Little old ladies do it all the time. Of course, those little old ladies are mighty tough. I kind of hope you share a room with a little old lady when you are recuperating, so she can give you pointers. (Kidding!)
