OK, I've decided that the market is overvalued and would like to hedge my long positions (ain't gonna sell cause I'm probably wrong). Shorting individual stocks can be dangerous to one's financial (and eventually mental) health, buying puts can be expensive if my timing is off (which I'm sure it is) - so what's the best way?

I've recently heard of some bearish mutual funds - USPIX and BEARX are the symbols - anyone know if these are open or closed end funds?
