Hard to argue with in large part. Might provide some short term psychological support. I'm into psychology you see...I admire your discipline with AOL, I never could have held tight. I actually had a large position of AOL which I dumped just prior to the huge prolonged decline earlier this year. I am glad I dumped it. You make an important point...with concerns about long term potential of AOL (I very much share your concerns, I have stayed out of it)dump the stock and forget the puts as a life line. If the fundamentals are bad (or in this case perhaps questionable)might be time to make the check out to Sam the Man.
