Takes guts to short these babies.....bought some FFIV last Thurs. and continue to like the Linux plays like ANDN...."".The excitement over Linux, a computer operating system that is given away for free and competes with Microsoft Corp.'s
(NasdaqNM:MSFT - news) Windows NT, is expected to carry over into 2000.

The enthusiasm behind the new system contributed to the success of VA Linux Systems Inc. (NasdaqNM:LNUX - news),
which had a record first-day 700-percent gain from its $30 IPO.

''Next year will be the year where we see how the business starts to emerge. We need to see how they are going to
differentiate themselves,'' Nawn said of the companies marketing themselves with the Linux name. ''It is a big market, and now
we need to know who will grab the market.''

He expected companies like Caldera Systems Inc. and Linuxcare Inc. to go public soon. Mountain View, Calif.-based
LinuxOne Inc. recently filed to offer three million shares at $8.25 per share. Taiwan-backed XLinux.com said recently it
planned to offer 20 to 25 million shares at $30 on Nasdaq by June 2000.""

The more Linux players out,the more they will go to the most popular sites on Andover.Net for downloading,consulting,etc....it's a steal under $50,imo.
