Internet Gold, Microsoft To Launch MSN Israel

NEW YORK -- Internet Gold-Golden Lines Ltd. (IGLD) and Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) signed a
memorandum of understanding to jointly establish a portal company to administer and operate MSN
Israel.

In a press release Tuesday, Internet Gold, Tel Aviv, said it will hold 50.1% of the new company,
while Microsoft holds 49.9%.

Microsoft will provide technology and distribution rights to the MSN brand for MSN Israel, which is
scheduled to begin operating by January.

The two companies are "contemplating entering a definitive agreement," Israeli Internet provider
Internet Gold said.

Shares of Internet Gold recently traded at 24 13/16, up 10 9/16, or 74.1%, on Nasdaq volume of
541,900 shares. Average daily volume is 391,607 shares.

Shares of Microsoft recently traded at 117 9/16, down 1 9/16, or 1.3%, on composite volume of
6.3 million shares. Average daily volume is 29.9 million shares.
